Melissa Dominic is a writer, mapmaker, and historian of places that don’t exist.
She is twenty-eight years old and lives in a retirement community just north of Miami, Florida. She likes all manners of things falling apart, blood, guts, gore, decay and cold city streets. She likes ethereal forests, tiny cottages, sunrise and laying with her head underwater. She likes rampant emotions, disillusions of the future and the sound of insects in the night.
She writes speculative fiction with a love of genre-splicing.
She has a horror writer for a girlfriend, who she hears is pretty good.
Melissa Dominic loves many things and they are too wide and scattered to all be named, but, they include:
Soccer (♥ Manchester United, FC Barcelona and SSC Napoli. ♥ Xavi, Chicharito, Dzemaili, Hamsik, Cavani and Lavezzi), trains, photography/instant cameras, cooking, bad television, crime movies, positivity, sleeping, James Bond, mori girl, The Avengers, travel, Greek myth, being in love, Frank Ocean, adventures, post-rock, comic books, Drake, cultural history, Star Trek, the color yellow, faeries, Arthurian legend, graffiti/street art, long phone conversations, Iron Man, bodies of water, Twitter, being outside, cafe con leche and tea (of course).
Melissa Dominic is learning how to grow up just enough to be the person she wants to be and is embarking on a study in getting over the many fears she has that keep her down. BrokenNerves.Net is the field journal of that process and the digital storybook she has been narrating in her head since she was a child.
Enclosed you will find story pieces, all sorts of recommendations, love confessions, blueprints and other tiny pieces of her life. Questions, comments and concerns can be mailed to MelissaDominic@Brokennerves.Net. She loves mail and tries her best to respond to everything.
